The ocular prosthesis is fitted in approximately four appointments:

• Placement of custom conformer to further develop eye socket
• Sculpting of the eye prosthesis in wax
• Painting of the artificial eye to match the patient's natural eye
• Delivery of the artificial eye, with care instructions and
  assurance that the patient is comfortable wearing the new eye
