The facial prosthesis is custom fabricated in
several appointments:
- An impression is taken of the patient's facial features
- Sculpting of the missing facial part in wax
- Medical grade silicone is custom matched to the patient's skin tones
- Delivery of cast prosthesis, including final touches, eyelashes, eyebrows, etc.
This process can take several days to several weeks, depending on the size and complexity
of the design and the extent of the facial defect. |
